A residence steeped in history, year 1261 An authentic experience
A stone's throw from the Palais des Papes, you will find our residence with its original architectural elements, built on the remains of the Augustinian monastery, construction began in 1261, well before that of the Palais des Papes in 1335. Martin Luther , Augustinian monk stayed there during his visit to Avignon. The Augustinian bell tower located at the foot of our property is another witness to the existence of the Augustinian church, partially dismantled and sold in lots after the French Revolution. Stone lovers will be seduced by the exceptional character of this recently renovated building.
